Dentures in Langley, BC
Dentures are removable replacements for missing teeth and surrounding tissues. Full dentures replace all teeth in an arch, while partial dentures replace some missing teeth alongside remaining natural teeth. At Ethos Dental Studio in Walnut Grove, Langley, an assessment of your mouth, bite and daily needs helps guide your options, including whether implant support is worth considering.
Tooth-replacement options shaped around your comfort, your smile and everyday life.

Understanding your options
What are my denture options?
A full denture rests on the gums when all teeth in an upper or lower arch are missing. A partial denture replaces selected missing teeth and uses the remaining teeth for support where appropriate. Some dentures can attach to dental implants for additional support, but implants require their own suitability assessment and treatment stages. The right choice depends on your remaining teeth, gums, jawbone, bite, ability to clean the appliance and personal goals.
Options for several or all missing teeth
Fit, bite and appearance considered together
Support with adjustment and daily care
Personal, never one-size-fits-all
Is it right for you?
Dentures may suit adults with missing teeth or an existing denture that no longer fits comfortably. Gum health, remaining teeth, jawbone changes, dry mouth, medications and hand mobility can affect design and daily use. Any extractions or other preparatory care need to be planned first. Tell us about sore spots, looseness, chewing difficulties and what matters most to you. Bridges or implant-supported options may be alternatives, depending on your assessment.
A clear path forward
Know what to expect.
- 01
Assess your mouth and goals
Discuss missing teeth, any current denture, chewing concerns and your health history. We examine your teeth, gums and bite, with imaging where indicated, and explain suitable options or referral.
- 02
Plan and record the fit
Review denture designs, alternatives, preparatory care, expected appointments and a written estimate. Impressions or digital records and bite measurements help plan fit and tooth position.
- 03
Review and fit your denture
Your plan may include a trial stage to review appearance and bite before the final appliance. At fitting, the clinician checks the denture and explains insertion, removal, cleaning and what to expect while adapting.
- 04
Adjust and maintain
Follow-up visits address pressure areas and bite concerns as you adapt. Mouth tissues change over time, so later adjustments, relining or replacement may be needed alongside regular oral health examinations.
Time, fees & informed decisions
Treatment time and fees vary with full or partial dentures, materials, preparatory care, implant support and any referral. Immediate dentures, when appropriate, are fitted around the time of extractions and need review as tissues heal. Adapting to speaking and chewing takes practice; removable dentures do not feel or function exactly like natural teeth. Persistent soreness or looseness needs review rather than home adjustment.
Request a written estimate that explains the proposed appliance, preparatory care and expected follow-up costs. Insurance and CDCP may cover some denture services, subject to eligibility, plan limits, frequency rules and any required preauthorization. Coverage is not guaranteed, and co-payments or non-covered fees may remain.

Your dentures questions.
Good care starts with a conversation. Here are a few things you might be wondering.
What is the difference between full and partial dentures?
A full denture replaces all the teeth in an upper or lower arch. A partial denture replaces some missing teeth while suitable natural teeth remain. Your remaining teeth, gum health, bite and cleaning needs help determine the appropriate design.
Can dentures be supported by dental implants?
Some dentures can attach to implants for additional support. This requires an assessment of bone, gum health, medical history and maintenance needs. It involves different treatment stages and costs from a conventional denture, and is not suitable for everyone.
How long does it take to get used to dentures?
Adaptation varies. Speech and chewing may feel different at first, and adjustments can be needed. Follow your clinician’s eating and wear guidance and attend review appointments. Call about persistent soreness, ulcers or a denture that feels unstable rather than trying to reshape it yourself.
How should I clean my dentures, and should I wear them overnight?
Clean your denture daily using the method recommended for its material, and clean your gums and any remaining teeth. Avoid hot water and abrasive products. Dentures are usually removed overnight unless your clinician gives different instructions, such as immediately after certain extractions. Ask how to store your particular appliance.
Do I still need dental exams if I have full dentures?
Yes. Your gums, other oral tissues and denture fit still need review even if you have no natural teeth. Changes in the mouth can affect comfort and fit. Your clinician will recommend a review schedule based on your needs.
What happens before I decide on treatment?
An assessment comes first. We review your health history, discuss the findings and explain suitable options, limitations, alternatives and any referral before you consent.
Will I receive a written estimate, and is coverage guaranteed?
We provide a written estimate after assessment; coverage is not guaranteed. Insurance and CDCP benefits, eligibility and approvals vary, and co-payments or non-covered fees may apply. Confirm your expected patient portion before proceeding.
